were you in ture auto or were you trying to shift the tranny?

zinsavage123 05-22-2010 12:13 AM

no in drive the whole time

norcalfocus01 05-22-2010 12:17 AM

your 60' foot a little slow to me. Did you try left foot braking or using the e-brake while giving a little gas? That would def let you launch a little better. Also the zetec is pretty gutless in the low end with a auto. My SPI with a manual feels like it gets up faster than my zetec.

zinsavage123 05-22-2010 12:21 AM

yeah I did the left foot brake and left with a small launch couldnt tell exactly cause of no tach. and I got worse 17.7 with a launch???? isnt this alot slower than it should be with my mods? unless those 17inch ses eap's I got arent helping?

Rims and tires maybe? I drop a whole sec last time I was at the track by just switching to my old bald 15's. Of course the track was slick that night and those were the only two runs I was able to make. Also you are still running the stock mani and cat? If so then right there your pretty chocked down. You have a lot more to be gained right there. Also if you don't have a tune that'll hurt a little too. The autos when tuned help the tranny shift much better. I would also hold that auto agisnt the stall as best I could. I would also probably shift it myself but if you don't have a tach that's hard to do. Oh and can't forget anything JDM will automaticly make a snail. J/k just kidding

yes the exhaust I have in the sig is the flexback kit from trubendz. I still got the stock header and cat. And where can I find stock 15's for mine lol i'll buy them now if they help that much?

norcalfocus01 05-22-2010 12:40 AM

the other thing is the UDP and coil/wires are really helping you. There kinda usless mods IMO.

yeah your right where can I get some stocker 15's and tires for my 01 zx3? will they help that much over my eap's? still though are my times about right even with an intake and exhaust? from what people told me my times are alot slower than they should be?
