How-To: SVT Side Mirror Installation
Items Needed:
1) Two SVT Side Mirrors (Will require painting) Part# FO1320314 (Left) & FO1321314 (Right) 2) Socket/Ratchet 3) Torx Screwdriver http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3432.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3434.jpg Step 1: Remove the plastic cover. Start by gently pulling/lifting the backside and then pull the cover off. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3502.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3503.jpg Step 2: Using a Torx Screwdriver, remove the mounting screw. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3505.jpg Step 3: Unplug the Mirror. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3511.jpg Step 4: Remove the rubber grommet. This thing falls off really easy so be careful. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/DSCN3513.jpg Step 5: Use a socket/rachet and remove the second mounting bolt. Step 9: Reinstall the side mirror. Step 10: Install the painted mirror caps. It should be noted that the screw is a Torx screw (at least mine is). I think it's a T15. Also the socket is a 10mm and the SVT doesn't reuse the Torx screw. |

Awesome write up Tom. Now if your car doesnt heated mirrors like the svt does and u install the mirrors, does it work.
