Just a little off the hard top... LOTS OF PICS

Installed the sliding ragtop on Sun, (I will say I got the ideal from seeing it on a members 4 door ride on here, so yes I copied some one, and glad I did) It's a 35"X35" sliding ragtop from streetbeat, $368.00 labor was quoted around $400-$600 Did it myself..

Before you start do have only one..

Then read all the directions before you start
Make your template and MAKE SURE IT IS SQUARE..
Place the template on the inside first and then on the roof CENTER IT And then adjust front to rear as needed, Then tape it down and mark it.

Place the frame on top to make sure it is were you want and NEED it

Then remove your head liner if needed, IN NEWER MODLES I WOULD BECAUSE OF CURTANT SIDE AIRBAGS.

Make sure you unplug all wires

Cover the interior to protect it

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...n/CIMG3562.jpg

And This is VERY IMPORTANT, SIT DOWN CHECK YOUR SELF MAKE SURE THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT AND HAVE ONE MORE

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...560_edited.jpg

Drill your pilot holes, I used a magnet to help grab the savings

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...n/CIMG3561.jpg

Cut your lines out, and also have someone help at the last cuts to hold top up while cutting

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...n/CIMG3565.jpg

Make sure you check your cut line...

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...n/CIMG3563.jpg

And Finish your cuts

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...n/CIMG3566.jpg

Use a fine file to clean all the edges and your corners

http://www.focusfanatics.com/howtos/...n/CIMG3569.jpg

Place your frame back on to make sure it fits , DO NOT FORCE IT. Mark your holes and pre drill them, remove frame and enlarge holes as
needed, use 1/4 bead of really good silicone sealant, And bolt it down checking your work as you go.
Replace your headliner and when you TRIM it MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOUR SELF 3" OF PLAY for the pinch molding, And be careful of any wires.

All in all it took around 6 to 7 total hours, for someone that has never done this before, not to bad.. and it wasn't to hard to do.. Just Make sure it is what you want..

The interior headliner was tough because the fabric has a fiberglass backing, glued to a 1/8" sheet formed fiberglass panel, so I will have to steam the fabric to take out the creases.

Still have some cleaning and touch up, and need to steam out the creases on the headliner, and will post some pics when all is done and cleaned..

awesome Ron, simply awesome. Can't wait to see this at one of the meets over the summer.

To be entirely honest, when you talked about doing this at Tunerwars, I didn't think you would actually follow through with it! lol.
