ATX tune.
how much differnce would a tune make on my ATX?
|
A decent amount... You can adjust the shift points and have it shift alot harder..
|
would that be worse on my tranny?
|
actually I think I read that it would be better for your transmission to have it tuned? But none the less having the ATX tuned will be a great improvement.
For what it costs for a tune I would do some more mods (intake, exhaust, etc) and then get a complete engine tune that includes the ATX (shift points, trans pressure, etc), make it worth your while. If your serious about getting the tune talk to Tom or FSwerks. |
yeah im still debaiting on if i want the SRI or the CAI. i dont want to get hydrolocked... im lowering it 2inches.. and it does rain quite alot here.
|
^ive ran a CAI for 2 years with no problems. I live in maryland; It rains, snows, ices, etc. Just last week it rained for 4 days (no lie) straight and I had zero issues. Ive been on 3 and 4 lane highways while it was pouring down rain with no problems. Ive hit puddles (i always try not too) and had zero issues. You'll be fine man.
For a 2 inch drop your gonna need new shocks, front and rear; max for the OEM shocks is 1.5"; which is what ive been running the past year and have no problems. |
I sell the xcal3 for 399.00 and 20.00 for shipping , that comes with my custom tune and free updates as you add more mods so you dont have to wait to add all your mods then buy a tune
You need to add a wide band air fuel gauge which you should have already With a proper tune I can change you shift points , trans psi , time of clutch engagement , slip time and much more , there is a lot more to the ATX then just changing your shift and psi To a point its better on your trans with added HP and TQ and does not allow your clutches to slip as much when changing gears Tom |
^Tom is the man.
...I wasnt sure on what else could be adjusted so i just named 2 things i knew lol. |
ohh yeah i live in maryland. and it def did rain its butt off. which cai do you use? and how did you get your stocks springs to godown 1.5?
Tom - where do you get the gauge at? and where would you place it?. and could you tune my nitrouse system to run a 75 shot saftly? |
C-F-M has a good deal on the AEM wide band and yes I charge 250.00 for a Nitrous Tune and that also comes with free update
