power steering issue during autox

Never had a problem, but I'm going to check fluid level anyway. How long is your course usually. The ones I run on are normally under 60 seconds, in the 40 to 50 sec range.

yeah this course was about 2min30sec for the best and I ran a 2min48sec, so I bet the length of the course didn't help

WOW, must be a large lot ! how many runs do you get with suth a long course?

it was on Malmstrom AFB, our flightline is inactive and they allow us to use what is one hell of a great piece of real estate.

wish i could make half these races....so much tuning to do & no time off.

no vid this time, I left my battery charger at my friends house in helena and didn't realize it until the morning of the race, oops. next time there will be though.

this thing happened to me on may 24th... hot day, autoxing, my ps fluid overheated foamed and once i let it cool down the power steering started working.. but not to its full capacity. i ended up having to get the power steering pump and rack replaced. thank god i still have the warranty on my car.

Sooooooooooo jealous!!! I'll bet you get some high speeds too. Over half of our events I never leave first gear![:(]

That course took about 3 to 4 hours the day before to set up. Very few cars stay in first gear to drive our courses,(mayby a Z06 cause of the gearing) I don't think it was all that fast, I wasn't close to redline in second, 78mph through the slalom like helena events.
