whats the weight on it, and is it considered a race header?

myfocusrocks 01-10-2009 03:37 PM

What is so special about a race header? And why do they say that they arent street legal?

jzizzle325 01-10-2009 04:03 PM

Why are you selling it?

c9_zx3 01-10-2009 05:08 PM

It is considered a race header and the reason is that it has no catalytic converter built in like the stock piece. At least that is the way I understand it. It is not road legal because of the this. There are no road legal headers for the Duratec. They all replace the stock manicat. We do not have emissions in Arkansas so I never worried about it.

The shipping weight is about 25 lbs. (I corrected this from 21 lbs. I was using the weight that was written on the OBX box, but when I just weighed it myself it came out to 25 lbs.)

I'm selling it because I got an F2 header, and no longer have a use for it.

yeah that is correct. if it can not pass an emission test then it is considered a race part, lol.

Any ideas if it'll work on an '09? I have no idea where to look for compatibility. How much difference in performance and weight would it make compared to a stock header?
