Might be going road racing...anything I should know?

My friend invited me to a track day at Grattan here in Michigan, and I'm seriously considering it. I've always thought it would be a lot of fun...I enjoy AutoX, too, but my dumb ass sometimes gets confused with cones. I always thought it'd be more enjoyable if I could see a definite path instead of trying to analyze a sea of cones.

Anyway, I have an '04 SVT EAP. Wondering if there's anything special I should do for the event, like take seats out or cover up the headlights with tape, etc. Never been to a track day before, so I'm not sure what to do. What about tire pressure?

Here's the course layout:

Here is what you need to know...I need to be invited...lol I don't think many of us have participated in an actual race. I only speak for myself, though...

the main thing is make sure your car complies with the required tech inspection and u have the needed safety gear.

second, make sure your brake pads are good, and you want to do a full brake fluid flush, with a high boiling point fluid (i use the Ford dot 3 (550ºF iirc))

third, change your oil

fourth, enjoy! i did my first track day last month and loved it. I have another in 2 weeks. I'm very excited
