Leaking from tail light cluster...anybody?

So, I've had the foul smell of mold emanating from my trunk for the past year and a half and could not figure out where water was coming in from until Monday. It was raining hard so I decided to pop my trunk and try to find it (the leak) while standing under my open hatch trying not to get soaked. I finally discovered that the water was coming in through my tail lights. WTF!
Has anybody else had this issue with the hatchback body styles - ZX3 and ZX5? Any suggestions on how to remedy this? All the help would be greatly appreciated.

i have actually had this as well but i didnt put it all together til i washed my car one day, and then went in the hatch to vaccum and the carpet felt kinda damp, so i took it out, and there was a puddle in the bottom around the spare tire.

have no idea how to fix it [bash]

I removed my tail lights and saw that there are three holes on the sheet metal holding housing in place. I am guessing that's where the leak is coming from. I might try some silicone. And perhaps replacing the foam rubber gaskets on the housing itself just to make a tighter seal. I might even go as far as putting some weather seal on the edges of the housing to seal out the water. I don't know. I'll give it a shot. Thanks![scratch]

adding some foam might do it. i get water too.

I've had water coming thru the rubber grommet for the tail light wiring.. i plan on siliconing it so it'll stop.

Update on the leak...attention hatchback owners

Well the leak, it turns out, is not from the tail lights. Rather it is from the seams on the actual car body panels. Needless to say I am going to the dealership with this and hopefully get some of my moldy panels replaced. Here are some pics.

can you get some better shots to see where those seams are?

At the top of the hatch where the hinges are. The first pictures show it in relation to the hinges. I have the weather strip pulled back.
