Help!!!: Million Buy

Has anyone ever heard of this site? What is your experience with them? They tried to get a shit load of info from me including social security and I want to know if they are crooks or not. I eventually cancelled my order but I am waiting to see the money actually back in my account. It was for my Boyfriend's XMas gift. People are so not good and it is the holidays...

Its' millionbuy.com

my philosophy is... if you order from a place it's cool... until they ask for your ssn.
why would they need it? theres absolutely no reason they do.

+1! No, website should ever ask you for your SSN. Sounds like crooks to me. It's probably called millionsbuy.com, because they try to buy millions off of you when they open credit cards in your name.

No one needs your SS# other than the government and banks.

I really try not to even give it out when signing up for phone service.

Oh yeah you almost got scammed. You better hope they give your money back. ID theft is HUGE now days........watch MSNBC's how to catch_an ID thief and then you will be scared [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]less!

Sounds like a "phishing" website, they are become popular by scammers, terribly shady. Hope everything works out for you...

^^^That would be my guess. No reason for a SSN for a purchase.

Thats funny becuase I've ordered from them before and the order went through pretty flawless. I ordered speaker wire, 4 speakers, fuses, connectors, and a capacitor from them.

I am a canadian customer so SSN does not apply to me, we have SIN (Social Insurance Number) here. THat being said, they did not ask me for it.

nonetheless, they should NOT ask for ur SSN. If I were you I would've called them and asked to speak to a manager. They seem to be a ligit company, I ordered my product, gave the CC num, got my order and all is well!
Thats my testimonial....

I ended up just using Amazon. The company never refunded my money, still in a process. I just wanted stuff for cheaper it was my own fault.
