REGISTRATION OPEN!! Summit Point August 4-5
We've had a few fanatics come out to play at Summit Point this year. We need more!!
The Greater Washington Sector of the Mercedes Benz Club is hosting a two day open track event at Summit Point on the Shenandoah Circuit.
Registration is now open and you can sign up and pay your entry fee online.
This is a good event because of the limited number of cars. We expect that there will be no more than 150 cars this year for both days.
There will be 4 run groups that represent driver experience.
Each track session is 20 minutes long with an instructor - if you desire at no extra charge (Novice and Beginner are required to have instructors). Most of this event is spent on track. There is a short classroom orientation in the morning, but then it is all track time.

when it talks about the safety inspection, what is that? is proof of my NYS inspection enough?
If only i had the money...i would soo do this...but i'm poor...i am accepting sponsors :)
All cars must be inspected before the event at a dealer or independent shop, and you must bring the signed or stamped safety inspection form to the event.
I'm just wondering what type of inspection I need

It's all subjective to a degree. Trackside, they check the lugnuts again and that's about it.
Not really a big deal. The Benz club insurance policy requires the formal inspection.
ok cool....might have to skip a few AX's to save up for this, but it sounds like I'll get sooo much more driving for my money
