Head Unit Spacer/Holder
 

If anyone can tell me where I can buy this I would greatly appreciate it. I have been told it is a Sony brand. I am not looking for the radio, just the thing that is holding the radio.

No, its because PB is blocked at work.

After much research, this is not a Sony XPlode, but a Sony MDX-C5970, or a close variant.
(Minidisk!)

Although in the posters picture the "MiniDisk" logo is on the left and not the right as
the link I've provided.

I think this is a Euro kit (I don't know if the fitting is the same).

As in a facia and a standard kit.

Bringing the thread back to life. Anyone know where I can find this "stereo holder"?

ebay.co.uk that's where I got mine.

I used the right wording and I found one on ebay usa.

I have the small spacer that sits above the stereo to fill in the empty space. I am looking for the part that physically holds the stereo in place. Aside from spending about $200 on the Sony xplode piece, this is the only alternative I have found. But I have had no luck being able to locate the bottom part.

I'm not sure what you mean by the bottom part... The fascia is all there is to it, you'll have to secure it by gluing or screwing it in the HVAC bezel. Then mount the metal sleeve for the head unit in the hole.

^What he said. Your head unit comes with its own metal mounting sleeve[cage]. Simply install it into the remaining gap of the radio opening, and push in the tabs to secure it into your dash.
