how to get custom tuning?

does anybody know if you have to make appointments for tuning at CFM and how far in advance to call ahead?

$650.00 for a custom dyno tune.

includes up to 3 hours on the dyno and the sct xcal 2. Take $200 off the price if you already have the xcal 2.

$150.00 for each additional hour.

does this include dialing in the cams?

TimZX3 01-05-2007 12:20 PM

what can tuning do for cams

xp0s3d 01-05-2007 12:27 PM

you have to find the best difference between the intake and the exhaust cams to make the most power/driveability

No, the price does not included that. That would be extra.

if u are custom tuning the car and the person has cam gears on the car; why will it be an extra charge to tune it ?

xp0s3d 01-06-2007 05:38 PM

it's not, it's only extra if you want them to adjust your cam gears

700whpfocus 01-07-2007 04:24 PM

if they are adjusting the cam gears......shouldn't that be part of tuning the car ?

Tuning:
Software Adjusting the ECU
Hardware Adjusting the Engine

Alot of places do one or the other, best bet is to find a place that does both, or in my case, get the software guy to the hardware shop lol
