valve cover torque spec?
I am putting on my new header and decided to change my valve cover gasket. Since it is plastic I want to make sure it is torqued correctly. So does any body have the manual (or know) the torque spec and is there a tightening sequence. Also what about the exhaust manifold torque spec and sequence. I never bought a manual yet but can see I need to thanks in advance for any help.

as for installation it says nothing about a specified tightening order, but this is what it says (under installation)

Just remember it's INCH pounds. I've heard of a few people reading it fast and thinking foot pounds...not good.
|
that would such especially if the person didn't realize after breaking the first one off in the head

What's the spec??
The picture that was posted, which I assume had the torque spec has been deleted. Can anyone say what the actual number of inch pounds is? I am asking about the 16V DOHC Zetec engine - valve cover gasket torque spec?

lol, just tighten them to 5-6 ft lb's. Do it by hand, and if it leaks tighten it a little more. But don't over tighten or you will warp the cam cover or break bolts.

52 INCH/lbs if memory serves. let me look and ill confirm shortly

Yea and convert that into FT LB's and it's like 5-6 FT-LB's.
