... Is the average price what I think it is? First quote says $600.... $600?!?!

Photoshop better make Carbon Fiber Hoods and CAI's... That price is astronomical.

why is it so astronomical? i think it's fair.

sure, i wouldn't mind paying less.. but i can find a copy anywhere anyways.

but people in the graphic design industry have spent MORE on liscensed software.

if everyone used it, then there would be no need for our services (designers that actually attend a private design school and fork out 80k in loans to get a degree..sigh!!!)

photoshop costs peanuts next to some of the other software i am using.

ADOBE.COM - PShop CS2

APPLE.COM - PShop CS2

APPLE.COM - Adobe Creative Suite Info

Reviews on the CS2 Suite that costs over $1000 - worth it!

There are quite a few student software sites that sell versions. I am not 100% I trust that stuff, but hey, who knows.
Student Software
But you def need to prove you are a current student. You need to give them valid/current ID and student information - courses, etc.)
And if there is any question or doubt, they will def not sell you the item! Very strict on that.

Def check out some of the student sites though if you are one!!! Do a google on 'photoshop' or 'student photoshop' etc.

HOPE THIS HELPED A LIL???
