Easiest I think is to go to www.photobucket.com and re-size in there.

Programs like Corel and several others will do that easily. A GIF image is usually a moving image. If you want, email it to me S2@FocusFanatics.com and let me know what you want to do with it (what size, for an avatar? etc) and I'll email it back......

You can use programs like Photoshop, Microsoft Photo Editor (if you have Microsoft Office XP) and several others. Check on www.download.com also for a freeware program or demo for Photoshop.

another good way is to use flickr.com they offer full res uploads and it resizes it for you if you like.

S2, GIFs are not usually moving images, they are used a lot in web design work when there is a limited pallet needed. The K size on GIF images can be much smaller and result in a much clearer design than of JPG compression.

Anyway if you can get your hands on photoshop, use the image ready function (save for web) and youc an compress and resize to your hearts content.

I dunno, every single moving avatar I've seen is a GIF. Actually any picture I've seen that 'moves' is a GIF?

Cool information though, I didn't know the K size and that other information on GIFs, thanks!
