can someone post a large DOF picture compared to?

One that has a small DOF, I have a hard time visualizing the difference.......please and thank you!

Here is a sample of a shallow (small) DOF. Notice the white lines in the foreground and background are blurry (not in focus) while the narrow band of lines in the center of the photo are in focus. Aperture = F4.5. Focus point was in the center of the photo.

Here is a sample of a large DOF. Notice the lines are in focus from front to back. Aperture = F22. Focus point was in the center of the photo, same place as first photo.

Also notice that the difference in the f stops changes the amount of light that is let in. First picture is brighter because f4.5 lets in more light than f22. The smaller the number, the more light, less DOF. The larger the number, less light, more DOF.
