Challenge idea for my fellow Pro Photogs

Here is something I thought of randomly.. This one is just for the 4-5 pro level photogs here. We each have a pretty distinct style that is easily seen which separates our photos.

Here is the challenge for those that want to participate.
Take a photo in someone else's style. This should really push you photo skills a bit and push every out of their comfort zone..

You can try to duplicate an image, or create an all new image in the style of someone else.
Whaddya think?

Pro level photogs, lol.

If you take a picture and get paid for it, you're pro level.

Can you be more specific?

He referenced 4-5 specific people who weren't named.

Getting paid to take a picture doesn't make you a professional. By your logic, if some random down the street pays you $10 to take a picture of his car for a Craigslist ad, you're suddenly a pro level photographer.

I asked a simple, reasonable question. Please don't be a troll.

Hmm ... though an interesting idea ... why limit it to just the "Pro" guys. If someone can take some great photos at a pro-like level, I wouldn't bump them off the idea.

I have seen a few people just getting in that have made some wonderful photos and if they knew who to work the business, they would also be considered Pro.

Pro-Photographer or Pro-Media person, to me, is someone who knows the ins-and-outs of the business. Taking photos is only a 1/3rd of the photo business, you need to know how to handle a business, market your abilities, create a name for yourself that is backed-up by valuable experiences and connections and can quote the basics of photography from Lighting (3-point / high-key / strobe, etc). Need to also have a clear direction of what type of photography he/she specializes in.

Read that and let me know how many times you have to read it before it actually makes any sense

I agree with everything Ray said.

I have been paid for my photography and I would NOT consider myself a pro. I don't even own a DSLR. Your logic is flawed, my friend.
