Some of mine. I'm not really that great, but every now and then I come up with something pretty decent...

It is indeed. Took it a few years ago, maybe 2, I can't quite remember. In any case it remains, of all the photos I've taken, one of my top two or three favorites.

Here's a couple I took at the Petersen Auto Museum out here in LA. This exhibit was based on coachbuilders and manufacturers in Italy from the 30's on and how their designs inspired modern day cars, even supercars.

^^ What exactly were you trying to achieve? Also, post processing can only do so much for you. I see that your truck is parked in the shadows, while the rest of the scene is in pretty bright direct sunlight. You're going to need either HDR or fill flash to even that out.

That lighting and shadows tool in photoshop is a dangerous thing. It gives people a false sense of security that they can just fix issues in PP.

You can't.

Bottom line is, there's only so much data in a photograph, less in a JPG than in a RAW. It is this small amount of data you can manipulate, not more or less. There's no data in completely black (black shade) or completely white (blown out) areas so there's nothing to recover.
