Nikon P100

Any of you guys familiar with this camera? I recently got it and cannot figure out how in the hell to adjust shutter speed. I've Googled it, but nothing really tells me how.

It just says that I can. It's starting to upset me.

^Thanks.

But someone can close this. Lol. I had a brain fart when I posted this. Who knew reading the manual that came with the camera would tell me everything I needed to know. LOL.

Don't worry about it; not reading the manual is a guy thing. My kids bought me a Tim "the toolman" Taylor t-shirt and on the back it says "Real men don't need directions" I'll confess, I actually downloaded the manual because I was considering buying that camera. I ended up with a Canon because I liked it better. I figure in maybe 5 years I'll be able to exploit all the features of the camera; any of these semi-pro digitals are amazing!

^Definitely! I love my P100. This thing is a serious upgrade from my Fujifilm Finepix 8.3 but even that one was a very nice camera.

Next in line will be a DSLR. But that won't be for a couple years.

Definitely enjoy it ... I have a friend that bought this camera who didn't want to jump fully into the SLR world and it's a great camera.

I am pretty impressed at its abilities.

So you paid $320 there-abouts?

I got my Rebel XS dSLR off of CL for $340 with 18-55mm lens, manuals, etc. Just gotta look around...

I didn't pay anything for my P100, it was an Xmas present from my girlfriend, lol. But I believe she paid somewhere around $340 for it brand new.

And that's definitely a nice find for that dSLR.

My XS had about 1000 shutter actuations so it was pretty much new as well. Just keep an eye on CL. The XS is getting older now so people are upgrading. Very good deals out there now.
