Photoshop fun

Just getting the hang of photoshop in school. Heres something I did during my break.

Hard part was trying to match the smoke.

do you want honest feed back?

suggestion, keep working... the whole photo is to large, makes your subject the car tiny.... you can see the trees in the windshield making it un realistic... and the smoke going over the windshield that you added just doesnt work... keep playing and trying...

you said your playing with PS in school... are you going to school for graphic design or just have it on school computers and playing

Its just on my school computer so I decide to fool around with it. I brought a copy of it home so I can mess with it more. Any pointers for a newbie on how to make it look real? I think I did a ok job on the cutting aspect. But the smoke was a pain to try and mimic. Should I add tints to the windows?

Very good first attempt. Photoshop will rot your brain.

My suggestion is to learn the "clone stamp" tool. It lets you grab something and repeat it elsewhere, which would make the smoke more realistic. You'd just have to be careful layering it around the car.

And of course train your eye to watch lighting directions so directions of light sources are consistent.

Yep, you only learn Adobe products in general by playing around... over and over and over. LOL

And Adobe makes some good video tutorials too.
