Need some Photo advice IL

I ordered my new wheels and tires yesterday and was thinking maybe to take some new pictures when I get them on in a few weeks. I know there are a lot of excellent photographers on here and was wondering if you guys could give me some advice.

1. Where is a really good place to take some pictures on the north side?
2.Anything I should consider in setting up pictures? Heres my last "official" photoshoot for reference: End of Summer Photoshoot
3. Anybody wanna come out and help or take some with me?

It may be local, but I still have to move you to Photos and Camera.
Good luck.

Well i just did a shoot not to long ago and experimented with leaving the shutter open longer, i don't know what kind of camera you have but you could try that..but i'm not that experienced either so i'm interested in seeing what others have to say in this thread too.

Advice:

#1, don't let your photographer stay standing upright the whole time. It give you the impression of looking down on your car, and that's not a very flattering angle unless you do it for specific reasons.

#2, you want someone that knows how to do touch ups and understands the use of saturation. With a red car, all backgrounds are going to look very desaturated, and sometimes that can make your car too strong in the image. Find someone that can handle either desaturating your car a bit, or bringing up the background so your car is still present, but not overpowering in the frame.

#3, location, location, location. The shots can look awesome, but if you're sitting in your street or driveway, no one will care. If you want to drive out to Rockford, IL, shoot me a PM and I'll give you my phone number (I've been shooting professionally for 3+ years now), and take you to a couple hot-spots around here. (If you want me to shoot, we can talk separately about that).

#4, CLEAN YOUR CAR. The shots in that last one looked good, but too many people forget this then stop to wipe an area off so it doesn't look smudgey. Take care of all of that beforehand. The more time you're not cleaning your car is more time to shoot is better shots.

#5, the more places you go in a day of shooting, the better your car will look. Spend a day out scouting for locations. The settings I like are old warehouses, abandoned buildings, back-alleys with neat lighting, completely empty parking lots that are way to big for the building (lots of open space), and things along those lines. The clean lines of the Focus match up and contrast well with the dirtier settings, so give it a shot.

If you find a photographer or if you're shooting on your own, send me a PM and I'll chat with you a bit to help you get the best out of your car.
