Do I enjoy modding and having a car that nobody else has the exact same setup on? Yes. Is it worth it? No. Buying a car isn't even really worth it. It's the worst investment you can make.

As a certified car addict...no it's not worth it.

Is it worth it though? YES

I'll admit though...no mods on the Focus and none to come. Tinted windows is as far as she goes...

100% Worth it. Can educate you as a person learning things about your car and keeps you thinking outside the box of what you can do next.

Is it expensive? Yes.

Is it an investment you may not make any money on? Yes.

Is it an incredible feeling to drive around with a custom vehicle? Yes.

Therefore... worth it!

^^^^ I 2nd that! It's not a Porcshe GT2 or 3! It's a comprimise w/ bean counter's & performance & designer's at Ford. So yes it's great to mod your Foci, to your spec's.

to each his own...NO on resale, that's why some keep their oem stuff to put back later and sell their mods separate. HELL YES on reinvigorating a tired car after it's seen a few miles or just making it more personal to the owner

im on the fence... i paid 100 dollars for my car (granted she needs some work) i got all day to go...

but it at times it gets excessive and it turns into a waste of money... but im sure there is a point at which it is worth it... but then after that... its not

It's called a hobby... I was into R/C cars before I could drive... my dads a hunter and fisherman... my grandfathers... one was into trains, the other liked to go to the casino or OTB. So, you're putting money into something and you know you won't get it back. I'd rather mod my car than watch my friends go out on the weekend and spend $150 at a bar.
