netdrgoon I disagree on not letting any pressure out with the stock tires. 32psi will not work for me at the track on street tires. The fastest time I have run thus far was around 25-26psi, and that helped remove a good deal of wheel spin.

HaveBlue83 ^thanks, i will just have to try it again later......and again and again and again......

CMEmach1 I would agree with coleslaststand. I think you did just fine for your first time at the track. Believe me nobody is John Force their first time down 1/4 mi.. The important thing is to start with the baseline you established and try to learn and make improvements as you get more experience and imput from others. I don't know about the Focus SVT engine but my Mach1 motor doesn't like the high temps or high humidity. The track prep can also make a big difference. Remember you should only compare times when it's the same weather and track conditions. There are a lot of people out there that never say anything about the bad time slips.....and everyone gets a slow time every now and then. Keep trying and try to find what works for your car and you. Set realistic goals with the conditions of the day and then drive the heck out of it.

coleslaststand His times weren't that bad considering that he is an amateur with only one mod that would benefit him in the quarter ...

TwighlightBlueZx5 yea work on feathering the clutch out with a little higher prms as you do, much more effective launch...

HaveBlue83 oh, I know they suck......I am just afraid of breaking my car.....I DON"T need to destroyu something on my car 100+ miles away from the base.....THAT would NOT be good........

I will just let the clutch out smoothly, and not just let it go as much, or as quick, next time.....

focus mike work on your 60ft.

those times honestly suck for an svt but nobody is perfect, just practice till you get the hang of it.

2.0TooSlow Keywords being Drag Radials. Slicks and Drag Radials you can, street tires no.

HaveBlue83 yeah, like 10PSI lower than normal i guess....

My dad always lowers his tire press. in the stang....to like 12 or 18 in the rear for Drag radials.....

and lowering PSI helps to lessen tire spin.......
