..:: sleestak ::.. I dont think they were trying to teach the drivers a lesson....they were doing it for their video so they could make a point. Granted it would suck to be stuck behind them, but no sense in hating on them. They were actually arguing FOR all of us who travel over the speed limit....I believe one or two of them state that they are one of the people traveling 70-75 in that 55 zone.

what kills me are all the people that flipped out and raged on them. lmao...what the hell does that do?

fokuzx3 hmm..even though its a good idea..i dont think they shoulda taken it upon themselves to teach everyone else a lesson, kinda not there place to be doing so...proves a point yes, but a point made by cops not by a few art and psychology majors from Atlanta

EnigmaZV I hear over in Europe basic car mainenance is part of the licence test too. Changing flat tires, checking fluid levels and the like. That's probably a really good idea.

919Maniac Well, I couldn't access that vid, but from what you guys have been saying I guess some dbags decided to form a rolling road block at the speed limit? That would really pizz me off.

I think the speed limit should be raised - a LOT. But before doing that, they should make it much harder to get a license. You should be forced to take driver education courses, not only about driving safely, but more advanced skills as well such as emergency maneuvers, braking from high speeds, etc...

I'm American, but live in Europe for now. Driving here is WAAAAY more fun than in the States. No left lane bandits, the freedom to cruise at 120mph all day long in your Benz or Beemer, etc... The skill level of the average driver here is FAR greater than that of the average American driver.

I remember getting my license in PA. The "test" was driving around in an empty parking lot and parallel parking. Oooohhhhh! That's challenging! Really prepares you for advanced driving techniques as well.

Things will never change though, we have our driving culture and it will remain as such. If you want to have fun, come over to Europe and rent yourself a Mercedes, Beemer or Audi. You will wonder why driving has to be the way it is in our country.

NIR Panther Jedi I think it proves the point that the AVG. joe speeds...there are a few parts on the interstate here were the speed limit is 75..and people drive 80-90 on it (including me). I think its funny doing that tho..i do that when someone tailgates me, i'll slow down to the speed limit..and thats not IMPEDING traffic by the way, its called doing the speed limit, the cops cant stop you for doing the speed limit

MarksPZEV I have been trying to tell cops and judges this same point since i started driving...I always get caught doing what everyone does...so when I do go the speedlimit people get angry with me. I just can't win. Me and my friend have done this before on our interstate just cause we were bored and both of us had Geos. Pretty much the same results untill a cop came by with flashing lights and I had to get over then everybody started passing and we couldnt get back to our "formation". I rarely ever go over the speed limit now.
