lanting90 yup, so if u want to runa a good et, u can wait a couple sec. berofe u launch to get it all perfect...but if ur racing ur buddie side to side, u'll want a good RT just so u get a head start...hehehe..

MyBlackST ^^^^ absolutly correct!!! Reaction time JUST measures the time that it takes for you to move the wheels, from the time the light turns green. Your E.T. doesn't start until you move out of the starting beams.
I don't know why people seem to think that your E.T. starts when the light turns green.

reaction times have NOTHING to do with your times
everyone thinks that it does
ive sat there at the line at the local 1/8 mile track before and pulled a 3.2 second reation time,and then ran 10 flat..

fresnofocus make sure you get good reaction times...always look at the lights. bad reaction times make your time slower. the first time i went to the track i had horrible reaction times which put me in the 16's

lanting90 ^^^ yeah, and if u have a SPI, i doubt you'll be in the 15s...

jaimz launch at 3200rpm
1st -> 2nd at 5500rpm
2nd -> 3rd at 5200rpm
3rd -> 4th at 5200rpm
4th -> 5th at 5000rpm (if it happens)

if you stock you should run a high 15 like 15.8 - 15.9
