Shifty Powers I wouldnt worry too much about getting caught for emmisions.. I run high flow cats(2) on my mustang compared to the stock 4 or 6 and it passes just fine.. Then i go home and take um off.. This is in NJ too..

Otherwise i hope to report on this combo in the near future with an SVTF

annnnnddd CRAP!!! I forgot I was just going around reading up on threads.. Did not mean to post in an old thread.. my bad!

So I guess if you remove your standard CAT your are essentially breaking the law. In texas inspections are done annually. Not sure if it is worth the risk. I guess I will stick with the Factory SVT Cat and Borla Cat Back Exhaust.
I live in texas and i have the Borla cat back with a CFM High Flow cat. I have had my car inspected the past three years i have had this and they have never said a word. they really don't care in texas. now california, you could have problems there.

TwighlightBlueZx5 yea , lol so many options , plus i dont even know what the previous owner did to my car... it is mad loud
02-03-2006 02:41 PM
svt2nv04 the orp is also louder. another thing, the reason the high flow cat is so high is probably the demand. it's the only high flow cat on the market for the SVT focus
02-03-2006 02:24 PM
TwighlightBlueZx5 lol so an orp would give me more hp and is i wobder what i'm going to get...
02-03-2006 02:18 PM
svt2nv04 ^^^ what do you mean by better? do you mean more horsepower? or emissions? the less restriction you have the more horsepower you're going to gain. so the orp will give you more horsepower than a high flow cat but the orp's aren't emission legal!
