JBotone Mine just did the same thing, it's a very week aluminum threaded stud that is the problem. I barely tapped mine and it snapped in the cold getting snow off of the car. Time to call Steve at Tousley.

Buchey I also broke my antenna and am tryin to fix it....
I took off the dome lamp and plastic part, but I just can't get good access to the base mount. What tools are you using?? Any suggestions?

Buchey redmenace... why would you go through that work to fix your antenna to listen to your ipod through the FM radio? that is such crappy quality, you are better off doing what I did: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...t=59651&page=2

redmenaceII Wow, 120 dollars for that, it costed me only 6.49 for the antenna mount, 26 bucks for the antenna, and 1 minute to removed the dome lamp with a flat scredriver, used my torx screwdriver for the mount, and hand tighten the antenna. About 5 minutes in total time. Good to hear my ipod again thru my FM.

nevetso619 yeh this happened to me. except i didnt have a shorty. I had the long antenna. It broke while brushing snow. Took it to the dealership. They fixed it....not 250 dollars more like 120 or something like that....ummm yeah. They said the same thing. Roofliner has to come down.....yeah ok.

Spinal hm surprised i didn't see this post before. i had the same problem while i was brushing snow off the car, i had my billet shorty antenna on and since its not flexible and it was cold the threads snapped off like a twig. however i got fords extended warranty, it was covered. mind you couple hundred vs a couple dollars...eh....lol

and i did type in functional shark fin antenna,
and they actually have some for around $40
