A Focused Family Well the guy who's supposed to kill it with bullets hasn't done it yet...lol, but I keep asking him. I put a Kenwood in mine.

Burn it with fire!

I know this thread is old, but...

I followed this advise and it worked awesome. Got my cd's back. I actually tried to burn it up by leaving my battery connected and then I kept arcing the plug as I laughed all evil like.

I used a coat hanger to make my own removal tool. You can buy these at WalMart.

On Thursday of this week I will be rid of this POS.

On Saturday 3.15.14 I have arranged for my buddies to take it to the shooting range for target practice as suggested by the OP and maybe...if anything's left...skeet shoot practice as well. Followed by fire to kill it for sure.

Pics to follow....

Here's a pic before..;

motorlaw ok so were all agreed the audiophile system is for lack of a better term...CRAP. So here is MY dilema...which i think is different then the ones posted here but I didnt know where else to post it.

SO...I opened up the top...and there are no cd's in there at all. I try to load a cd...says cd error and hear the wonderful clicking sound as it cycles through. So my question is..if there isnt a cd stuck in there why wont it load and why is it making that horrible racket and then say CD ERROR when its finished?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Try using a laminated card like an old Blockbuster video membership card or something equivalent. As you press the number of the disk you want to unload, hit the eject button and slide the laminated card in and out, sweeping side-to-side to fish the disk out. Do this while the CD player is making noise while trying to spit the disk out. This may take several tries but it does work.
