focaltech Volant > iceman

I had an iceman for a long time, got a volant and wouldn't look back.

EuroZX3 its just the top design. ill be posting about a new ITG intake soon gotta wait for some things first. but the volant has a # of advantages... build quality, can upgrade maf to 70mm with little work, ram air hood (only way hole on top is functional) upgradable to SVT Snorkel, with some work maybe even an ITG filter (im workin on that right now) and it has the second runner off the side... which believe it or not, u can upgrade too (with dryer hose nuttin huge)

ALL_MOTOR_ZETEC Thanks Focal, that I didn't know. (The Iceman loses any advantage it had as soon as you make more mods.) So instead of getting the Iceman, I should just get a Volant? What makes the Volant stand out better then the rest anyways? Is it because of that box type thingy? and how the air comes up underneath that hole and has the hole on the top to breath easier? JW.

focaltech The Iceman loses any advantage it had as soon as you make more mods.

The flat panel filter cannot flow as well as the conical on the volant. Plus the volant simply gets more airflow.

ALL_MOTOR_ZETEC Euro, doesn't the ICE MAN make more torque? Cause I'm thinking of ditching my MAC and going with that one.

EuroZX3 either or if u ask me. i have the volant and love it. ice man was dynoed at most torque. both are great, if u get the ice man make sure u pick up the itg panel filter. biggest advantage for the volant would be a cone filter and u can upgrade to a functional ram air hood. but ice man looks stock if u have tough cops over there and the itg filter will flow comparable to the cone.
