MyBlackST th svtf is still in gs

Carrera26 I haven't heard anything mentioned about the SVTF, in any way, so I can only assume it's status quo from last year.

thedaemon Is SVT still in GS?

Carrera26 Yes, especially because the smaller wheels help gearing, and with the Stock-class legal adjustable dampers you can adjust for the change.

It's not just the power lost in the rotating mass, it's also a lot less weight for the suspension to control, which means better suspension response, especially on bumpy surfaces.

Oni So, you run lighter wheels for the benefit of just carrying less mass, and it reduces the amount of power lost in rotating that extra mass. But is the loss in wheel stiffness/response that negligible that the minor weight saving is more important?

MyBlackST The mazda3 5 door and sp comes with 160hp and 17"rims and better tires. Plus the suspension is a little better. But with the right driver we can take em.

Oni I doubt it too, but it just is currently placed that way. Wouldn't make any sense to me... or all the autocrosser out there. That's good to see the Spec V's going to GS. That'll hopefully bring in a little more competition here locally.

Doubt it, it's pretty much a RSX Type-S (a better one at that).

Carrera26 Yeah, never really had much problem with the Spec-Vs, I thought that they were mis-classed in DS.

MyBlackST Sentra SE-R is going from DS to GS.
