You can find the camera mount right HERE
It work very well might I add. I now have the same set-up.
EDIT: Oops. Posted a reply in the wrong tab.

2) No spare tires, well, except my winter set up.
I'm running the new Hankook RS2 tires for daily driver/AutoCross.
3) Fast time of day was 1:26.07 set by a highly modded Mazda RX3.
I bested at 1:27.23, which was good for 6th out of 34.
The course is always set different event to event, so there's no point in comparing times between events.
4) I do like the in-car perspective. It's a great way to "critique" my driving.
As far as the grille, I'd need a whole different mount, and a way to stop the wind noise.
My headrest mount was FREE...>>>Clicky
Yep. It doesn't feel like I'm waiting that long in the car to brake, but when I see the video,
it's rather obvious I'm coming in too hot, and at an early apex, versus late apex.
(Yeah, I've been reading that Secrets of Solo Racing book by Henry A Watts.)
2) I sure like the site where I've been hosting mine.
It also helped that people are "saving" instead of "opening" from the link.
Click on the "WWW" button in my profile.
That'll take you to the SuperMotors (formerly SuperFord) site.
All you have to do is register. It's free, unless you want some upgraded features.
Video limit is 40mb. I've been trying to keep mine at 10mb, so they don't take so long to download.

Yeah, I have DivX too and would like to compress my race videos. I downloaded them all and ended up with 375MB!
And yes, there's a class for everything, but if you're a noob they'll probably put you in the most "skill-appropriate" class anyway. Everyone needs to stop waiting for mods or whatever and just go friggin DO IT!
WD40 - Could be wrong, but it still looks to me like you're coming in too hot on your corners. After riding with some really experienced guys, they had me slow way down, to where I only get a hint of squeal now and just for a moment. It felt so wrong, especially as I thought I was going very conservatively already, but I made a massive improvement. They just knocked it into my head that you cannot be sliding/squealing and getting good acceleration through a corner at the same time.
Of course, feel free to pick apart my runs when I get them posted.
I think I asked this before, but what's the best place to post them for max resolution and quality?

|engine ear||Looks like tons-o-fun! Do you have a spare set of tires for this or...? What's a good time for that run? What's your best time? Great perspective! Mount the camera to the grill next time.|

There's an event this weekend on the 11th in Helena.
Great chance for a test/tune/practice before the Top Gun Challenge the following weekend.
Come on Steve....it's only gas that ya need to get down here.
Try to Divx encode it...you'll keep a ton of the quality but shrink down the size considerably.
OK. I'm a noob.
Do you mean this option?
Choosing a video setting:
Digital device format (DV-AVI)
Specifies that your captured video will be saved as DV-AVI file with an .avi file name extension. This capture option is only available if you are capturing from a DV device, such as a DV camera or DV VCR. This video setting is designed to be used if you want to edit the captured video on your computer and then later save it back to a tape in a DV camera or VCR using the Save Movie Wizard. The quality of the original video is retained when you choose this setting, so the movies you record retain their original video quality when recorded back to DV tape.
However, video files saved with this setting can be quite large. For example, each minute of video saved at this setting can consume as much as 178 MB of disk space. Therefore, verify that there is enough available disk space on your hard disk to accommodate the amount of video you want to capture.

very clean run WD40
such high quality video... I'm definitely gonna try autocrossing within the next 1-3 years

On the subject of Auto-x, is there a class that will allow you to just run whatever? I'd like to try out autocrossing, but I don't want to have to go buy stock pulleys(I never had any, got the car with UDP set) , take off all my mods, etc.
I don't really care about running against guys with more mods, etc, I'm not out to win anything, I just want to run my car the way it is set up now.
