silverfoci Ok, then I'll just get the FC when I have enough money to get one. Thanks.

myFordPerformance.com My 2 cents...

Not enough difference in power or response for the BBK to be more money. Both t/bs have been tested in the past by two magazines, Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, and Sport Compact magazine. I think SC used the BBK, and MM&FF used the FC. Both resulted in 1-3 horsepower gains across the powerband, and if I remember correctly 1hp peak.

The throttle body by itself is not a big power mod, improves "air flow" and throttle response. Obviously when done with other mods, and in the whole scheme of things, it helps and performance improves with the more you do.

FoRdFoCuZdRiVeR yea in order to get a 70mm t/b ull need a new intake manifold
09-17-2003 10:01 PM
Kicknzx3 intake manifold then tb, then intake tubing, then maf, then box and filter.

mconant so where the hell does that go?
09-17-2003 09:42 PM
HotRodWagon BBK not worth the extra money. Pro m makes a 70mm maf..not tb.
09-17-2003 09:41 PM
silverfoci Well you don't need 70mm unless you are going Forced Induction or you have a highly modified engine.

Zarelli6 all ads say youll get twenty thousand hp... youll get 3-4 at the most... but mostly throttle body change
09-17-2003 09:39 PM
mconant yea on the focus fanatics magazine they say bbk with 65mm tb a easy 7-10 hp at the wheels and on the other side is a pro-m it says for their 70mm tb 12-20 hell ill just put one of them on and it will definetly be improved. even though all the dynos on the net say all they get is 3-4 hp at the most............

BBK Vs. FC Throttle Bodies

What about the BBK throttle body? I know it's more expensive but is there really any difference?
