Andrew Well, after seeing this thread I decided to try this mod out and I got to say that I like the look of it.

I had/have no idea how to get the actual side marker off, so I just did my best putting the tint on while it was still attached to the car.

It's a 5% tint, took me about 15 mins.

Yocrew I did this awhile back before I saw this. I removed my sidemarkers. It was pretty easy.

armyboy05121 How well did the turn signals brightness appear after you put it on? Does it look like they are on? Thats the only part Iam worried about

violatedsohc So how did you guys get this stuff to lay flat on the ZX3 tails? I tried and it always wanted to wrinkle up. I read a lot about how to do it. I took the tails off of the car and was doing them inside I had a lot of fluid so that the tint would be very slippery and I could move it around. I tried to adjust the tint but it wouldn't lay flat. I really want to do this and am seriously considering the nightshade route instead.

Bobby_d yeah i did this 9 months ago and mine are still on. I can't stress enough the importance of taking the lights off before you do this... using an exacto knife near your paint is dangerous. it will take alot less time and look alot cleaner if you take the lights off to do it.

p1tchblack i just did mine today, few bubbles, i just sliced down any edge bubbles, theres a couple little blemishes, but it looks damn good. I also painted my calipers and drums. She looks a lot better.

any tint will work. its just if you want to deal with adhesive tint or cling tint. the cling tint just sticks down with no spraying water or whatever.
