Silva_Bullet01 maybe a small clicking noise is normal, but nothing too loud, mine was really bad at first and i mean it sounded like and old VW beetle, so i fixed that real quick. now its nice after 3k rpms cuz the exhuast is louder than the leak. just when i start slow or in a parking lot it sounds bad

drmike6054 I will probably just go buy a copper gasket this week........but is a clicking noise a normal thing to hear with an obx when acelerating? My current gasket is one of those crappy "cardboard middle" ones.

elitekorri you can usually just hear air friction... moreso at higher rpms. turn your car on and rev your engine up by manually opening/closing the throttle body... there should be no mistake it's leaking when it's accelerating... if any other gaskets are leaking, you might hear them while driving... or have a friend help....

thread un-jacked...

woohoo obx! ;)

oh p.s. not much of a jacking since you are stating that your gasket is possibly leaking too, just reassures threader to purchase better gasket

Silva_Bullet01 it has a bad sound, like mine i have a bad ticking sound, i took apart the connection and the gasket was broken. no smell that i know unless its a BAD exhaust leak, but more of a sound

drmike6054 Talking on exhaust leaks and gaskets.....how do u know if yours is leaking? Just by smell, or does it sound different too? Or just performance problems.........I got an OBX and might have the bad gasket but i dont know, only thing that im a little worried about is a louder clicking noise at lower rpms from exhaust which might be normal. Hope Im not jacking the thread. Thanks

Silva_Bullet01 well i dont have a checker auto around here ill look at autozone, but the gasket that came with the FS flex crapped out on me :( but i would still like a link to a copper one if anyone can find it

elitekorri I got my gasket with a softer metal ring in the center for $0.50 at Checker Auto. I use it after the header, after the flex and after my split section exhaust. 3 x $0.50 = $1.50 & no exhaust leaks. woohoo

Silva_Bullet01 OK i linked the gaskets for the header where it bolts onto the engine, anyone know where i can find the gasket that goes inbetween the header and flex. copper prefered.

zslaton I know that people that have a great deal of experience with different brands (*cough* Ray *cough*) have warned me that OBX is towards the bottom for headers. Too bad FC feels the need to buy a header from another company and rebadge it.

Silva_Bullet01 i disagree, someone just may have found a cheaper but better way to manufacture it. by the way isnt FocusCentral (a name brand) having OBX make thier stuff now? also i havent heard any negative comments about the OBX header yet, except for the gasket.
