The damage looks more like something impacted it- making it not Ford's problem.

OP-from what I can gather by searching the product, it looks like that should work fine to repair the area. You may also want to put a layer down over the cracks that extend underneath the lip to stabilize the area. It has a relatively short working time, so don't mix all of it at once.

I think this happened cause of the ice/cold but I need to know some more, it doesn't look like a car crash involved either
Do you remember the cracked doors someone posted about it?
