svt2nv04 the SVT section is a MESS right now!

svt2nv04 well i'm pretty sure that the SVT performance chat is only for things related to modding to get better performance. the lounge is SVT related non-performance stuff and all those "problem threads" should be in the technical chat whether it affects performance or not. even though it's an SVT section, if it's a problem with your car, it should be in the technical chat. now if it's a problem with an aftermarket performance part for an SVT, then i could see it staying in the SVT performance section.

i pointed out technical chat and SVT performance because there's a lot of threads in the SVT performance chat right now that should be moved to the technical chat

just trying to help

WeeAsp OK..I'm on it.

Still feeling my way around as a mod, but I agree that there are a lot of things posted that are not relevant.

That said, the forum title "SVT Performance" is a little misleading.

If someone has a running problem, that can also be attributed to a performance problem.

I'll be more dilligent and I appreciate the feedback.

goinloco1 ok, once again the performance section is getting out of hand.
Please post your questions in the correct areas.
If it's not a bolt on, flasher, or custom performance part, it doesn't belong here.

mofocus this is the best thread ever, befor WD40 joined i used to spend countless bored hours just moving stuff out of SVT performance that had asbsolutely nothing to do w/ performance or the engine even, and by looking at the redirects, theyre still there hah

svt2nv04 ^^^^ you crack me up man, and the beginning of this thread had me rolling lol

actually this is the first time me reading this thread

i don't think it's that hard to follow these posting rules however, i remember one time i had a cel and i posted it in the svt owner's lounge instead of the technical chat because i just wanted other svt owners to read it and help me with it! i agree with some of the others who say they sometimes just want to talk to other svt owners and not the zx3, 5, se, lx or whatever guys. i like the other foci and i'm not trying to be a dick or snobby or anything, that's just how i feel

I honestly think that the posting rules on this SVT forum are gay and need to be changed. I just saw a post get moved about running rich? How does that not have to do with the engine? oh wait...IT DOES! Running rich is the engine dumping more fuel than air! Plus I am a snob and I'll say it straight up. I dont want a bunch of ZX3,5,etc tools diagnosing my car and the SVTPerformance site doesnt give 2 craps about the focus forums. I have gotten a lot of useful information on this site and really do appreciate all of it, except for the fact that this forum should pertain to all related SVTF issues. All the reg foci barely share anything with the SVTF besides the frame. We have a diff interior, stereos, engine, head, catbacks are diff, our brakes are bigger, our tranny is diff, our rims, tire sizes, suspension, most of the mods are SVT specific on most sites, etc. I don't want someone diagnosing my SVTF according to what some doofus did to his ZXwhatever! I'm not trying to rant or bash any moderators, I just think this needs to be taken into consideration. Plus the fact that people will respond based on their ZX3,5,SE,LX, etc and then you will have to reply again and say it's for an SVT, and it just gets all confusing and long! Seriously this forum should contain anything technical about the SVTF and would make it a helluva lot easier on the moderators too, because I think some posts should have been moved according to the current rules, and some of the posts shouldn't have been moved according to the current rules. If my "rule" were to take effect....anything technical being discussed about the SVTF would be allowed to stay and most other online forums do this.
Just my $.02
