DrkKnight614 yeah and seskidz isnt going with a V8, so the weight distribution wont be the same as on the V8 focus.

DrkKnight614 yeah thats the thing....u say u like the way ur focus feels...but if u go with rwd....its going to be a whole new it kinda defeats the purpose. If u pull it off though that would be awsome b/c now u got a rwd focus. But if i were u and wanted rwd id just go buy a rear wheel drive car, b/c this is going to cost u a hefty penny.

There's a guy at our local autocross that runs one of these. It's pretty bad ass!

rufus look at the bottom of this guys ebay ad, he sells a special bell housing to make a t-5 or t-9 tranny fit a zetec

swest I saw some guy on Ebay who sells Zetec engines who had some kit that he sold which used an adapeter to retrofit a Zetec motor to a Ford T5 tranny... I don't know if he has anything on Ebay or if he still sells there, but it's worth the effort to check and see if he's still there. I wanna do the same thing, lol! Only w/ turbo or a turbo'd PZEV motor.

mr.squatch A lot of race cars use zetecs, and one or two make adapters to mate the zetec to a c-4, i'm sure if you could do that you could do a t-5 just as easily. It'd require the engine to be turned sideways, but that's no big deal. The tunnel is already there, you'd have to fab engine mounts and then buy the spindle kit and rear half kit from kugel and a trans, driveshaft, rear axle, and supporting hardware. Considered doing a rwd c4 zetec in project fastiva, but now I'm thinkin the 2.3 pinto motor could go a lot farther.

A rwd conversion will change every bit of the way your car handles. So to think you can just make it rwd and keep the focus characteristics is a bit farfetched. The sways that come with the kits now are far less than adequate for cornering, and to get a solid rear axle to handle right is a lot tougher than it would seem. Pretty easy to make it act right at the strip, but in the twisties our rwd needs a LOT of work
