|mac.mogul||Hmm, idk about the buckle sensor wiring. My Mustang seats didn't have any wiring and it didn't have the personal safety system on it so I assume the same for any Ford built prior to the personal safety system. (Barring a power seat, of course)|

|SlickWilly||Second gen seats are nothing to write home to. Being 130lbs and 5'11' I slide side to side in them. Lateral support is poor, some say lumbar support is bad, although I have no issues with lumbar support.|

00-01 Focus didn't have the "Personal Safety System" so there isn't any wiring in the seats.
They should bolt in just fine but I can't imagine they'll look or fit right. They're very uncomfortable.

|bringler26||They can work but it won't be a 100% direct swap. Wiring is not the same I believe the mounting brackets are very close.|

Will the mk2 (coupe/4dr) seats fit in an mk1?
Looking for new seats without much modification. I don't have airbags and just looking for a quick swap. Does the mk2 seats drop right in on an mk1? Primarily the fronts. Thank you
