5doorracer Just looked into this, because it popped up when looking for something else. I am sure by now you have this figured out, but on my car it was blow by from the PCV system throwing oil into the intake. Pull the intake tube off the throttle body and open the throttle wide and look inside. I f oil is present there is only one main way for that to happen. PCV system no other oil should be present.

What would the valve cover pressure blow tell me? You think #3 is problematic? I thought only 1 & 2 were problematic...

flaurencelle LOL for pig pen! Actually I only have smoke if i floor it... otherwise i have no smoke..but the exhaust always smells like it's burning something..
So fed up of putting money in this car... thinking about selling it!

Bought it 3500CAD, invested a bit over 3000 in it since may...

Thank you all for your feedback!

AlfPrev If the engine was rebuilt, they may have installed rings upside down. The rings are designed to scrape the oil down, but if you install them upside down they will pull oil into the combustion chamber.

drostedrummer89 the tip of the spark plug was oily? can you see lots of residue on the pistons when you pull the plugs?

the engine is likely toast simply from driving with 1.5 qts in it. probably time for a rebuild reguardless.

flaurencelle Could i get such a oil leak from the PCV only ?? (Like 2qt every oil change? ~4000 miles)

iminhell Sounds like your rings are done for.
Eating 3qts in a month and a half if very excessive. To the point where the car must look like Pig Pen driving down the road?
