RDC put themselves in the middle-no one asked them to be there. This thread was designed to inform the community, not to bash RDC. Other members bought this product well before I did, but instead of informing the community they kept it to themselves and this thread was only intended to keep future members from getting stuck in the position I was in of having purchased a part that was marketed to a vehicle that it doesn't fit.
RDC wanted to jump in and try to defend the part or company despite all of the proof and the fact that Justin and I were trying to get resolution through V-Maxx. That was his choice because I never mentioned or even alluded to it being his fault. I've asked Mike countless times to stop perpetuating false hope here, in countless other threads, in pm, and through meditation via others. He is the one that chooses not to, and that does not benefit anyone else that either has interest or has been waiting two years for a fix.
I said it back in 2013 and it holds true to this day-vaporware. Whether someone likes it or not doesn't change it's truth, and that won't change with repeated promises-only with a legitimate part that physically exists.

I think of this as an extreme version of the regular question on fitting ST springs.
Yes they fit, but it isn't the best match. ST springs on a MkIII don't give the same "drop" as on an ST, these Vmaxx units were even worse for not being matched to the car.
Just because they'll bolt on doesn't make it a good choice.
Rebel Devil got caught in the middle, sourcing an item many wanted that they were told would work. That ended in a long drawn out mess, without a good resolution from what I saw of it.
While there's still a lot of pent up demand for such an item, it might be better to soft peddle any news on an upcoming product IMHO - at least until there's a confirmed release date. Everyone wants the "inside track" on what may soon be avail., but rumors soon become "facts" as the news spreads easily causing a lot of disappointment.

The best budget kits I've found in my previous experience are those that were developed by companies in the community that didn't have a big manufacturers name on, but were made buy them. I was extremely happy with my budget coil-overs for my Nissan S14a, and totally changed the car. They were not bouncy just because they were budget. They also had decent adjustments on them, from variable firmness, variety of springs (mild, road race, full race) and adjustable camber etc.
I'm surprised there are not established players in the field that have done this already to help the community, and make themselves a good name.

Personally I read 'bouncy' and I was instantly turned off by them, as coil's should be controlled, and bouncy means mismatch of components (to me at least). Hopefully, they bring something decent to market for a reasonable price.

|dyn085||2 years definitely qualifies as vaporware. If they actually did finally come it with something that would be great, but anyone that's read this thread from start to finish should have a pretty good idea of the support they'll get if they end up with poorly designed/incorrectly advertised parts from them in the future. Especially when combined with those that had to cut the V-Maxx springs to fix rake, I've seen all that I care to see from this company.|
