Door Adjar light

Hello all!

I read through all the posts I could with the search function but none spoke to my issue.

2008 Fucus SES 4 door. Drivers door triggers the door adjar light and the car unlocks itself. I can close the latch with a screwdriver and the light goes off and the car will stay locked. I took the door apart to try to change out the sensor-switch but it's all built into the latch mechanism. The mechanism doesn't come apart. I put it all back together and tried to "adjust" it with the slop in the screws but this didnt work also.

We have tried the WD-40 trick and it works for about a day. I have tried PB Blaster, WD-40 penetrating oil, and silicone spray to see if they'd work better and it only lasts a day.

Where do I go from here. I hate to take anything to a dealership if it's something I can do myself.

Thanks
