TOTALLY! I'm one of those niche guys that would much rather a wagon than a crossover. Zero craps given about american's perceptions of wagons of old. I love the idea of a car that's practical and spacious while still having the clean lines and epic chassis of a MK3! Most of those small crossover SUV's don't get much better MPG than my pickup does (18 combined) and most do not come with a manual transmission unless you go for the el-cheapo strip base model, which seem to be value-village manuals lifted straight out of a vintage diesel F250. I'd absolutely own a Focus wagon if I needed a family vehicle. Maybe even a Fusion or Mazda6 wagon.

I saw that new Mazda 6 wagon that's going to be rolling around in Europe. My gawd, sexiest station wagon out there right now. for wagons!

elsolo It seems like Ford hates North America.
No wagons, two doors, diesels, and fewer options.
Other manufacturers offer the same cars to the EU as America.

I wonder how much is our stupid C.A.F.E. standards, chicken tariff, and other self imposed stupidity that caused lack of choices in our car market.

Hyundai doesn't accomplish anything. The Genesis Coupe, for example, starts at 40,000EUR in Germany. Starts at 40,000EUR. Not tops out at 40,000EUR, starts at 40,000EUR. So, you didn't squash anything. Can we get past Estonia now, please?

Now, I did just look on Ford of Estonia's website and it appears that in Estonia a Fiesta costs more than a Focus does in the US.

And I use Hyundai/Kia because they are the only company I can see offering their global high content cars the same way in the USA.

Yeah, I assumed that also. I just wanted to point out that the 2.0 isn't always paired with an "unfortunate" transmission, as it seemingly was implied by the post I was quoting.

Et cetera 19% VAT in Europe... Is it applicable in all EU?
