1turbofocus The IMRC is the intake manifold runner controle , not sure what you mean plugged and blown through , they work off of RPM and load when you have met this criteria the manifold runner switches

You have a solenoid and a switch motor , I would check fuses , make sure you have voltage to the solenoid and vacuum

2004 PZEV motor with p2004 code

according to my local mech the IMRC is stuck open. im not even sure how this works. i found out that there are 2 of them on top of the intake and i am very curious on if there should be any air coming out of them when plugged and blown through? if so than i dont know what it could be or how to fix it. if not i tried capping the end that already had a cap on it and the car lost power about 3 miles down the road. any suggestions or questions i can answer on how to fix this?
