|Valken||So where did you guys end up placing the horns?? I got the 4 tone horns from a junk yard but im not exactly sure where to put them. i see that sniper focus placed his where the stock horn was. is that the best place?|

Just splice every horns positive to the "87" wire.
I don't know if you can do the same on an '06, but I managed to make all of the horns a removable assembly by making a bracket with easy to use aluminum flat bar from Lowes.
I made every wire from the horns meet at a junction to reduce it two wires (pos, neg). About dead center in the photo you can see the two blue quick disconnects for the horn wiring, I since swapped that for a weatherproof connector.

Just a couple of questions. The diagram shows wiring for a one-note horn setup. What would I do for a multiple-note horn rig? I'm rather new when it comes to modifications like this, and I want to make sure I don't mess anything up.

I'm the guy that did the Caddy horns, if not the only guy. I love my set up, loud without being obnoxious. They helped save my car from being totaled in the school parking lot last month, because no one can see a bright yellow car.
Here's one way to do it, if you want to make it a secondary set up.
(You can get power straight from the battery instead of the starter solenoid on a Focus. Also the diagram shows a one-wire horn that self grounds to the frame, if you get a two wire horn then just ground the ground wire.)
The sound of the Hellas don't do it for me one bit, they just look good in the grills of Subies.

Ah, should have probably specified that the cadillac horns are also electric.
I've heard of people replacing the stock horns with electric ones from Wolo or Hella. While they're loud, the tones are shrill and unpleasant to me. I wanted something with a bit of a melody to it. That's why I originally wanted the trucker air horns.
Anyway, I found this momentary pull switch which would be able to replicate the feel I want to go for if I were to mount them on their own relay. It's like a reverse push-button solenoid. You pull on the stud to close the circuit, but a spring pulls it back open when you release it. I just need to figure out what the best way to wire these horns is so I can leave the stock one alone. I know it would be easier to just replace the stock one, and I'll probably end up doing that if the idea I have ends up being too complex, but I would like to try leaving them separate if possible.

I had an air-horn setup on my car, It cost me about $150, and honestly.. it was a waste of money.
Air horns take time for the compressor to start turning to blow the air. This means that from the time you push the button to the time the sound comes is about .3 seconds, which doesnt sound like much, but in an emergency situation, trust me, it matters.
Also, since the pressure is not coming out as a burst, but instead as a build up, it doesnt have the instant presence that you want for a loud horn, its kind of like an old siren winding up. (alot faster, but still not as startling as a full train-horn).
In truth, you would be much better off swaping the stock horns for a set of hella supertones. They are surprisingly loud, and they are super easy to install.

Adding a New Set of Horns on my 06 ZX5 - Questions!
I've lurked amongst this forum in the past, but this is my first thread I'm posting.
I've gotten tired of the measly single-tone horn that comes stock with my Focus. I had thought about squeezing in an airhorn setup similar to the ones used on tractor-trailers, but there really isn't a lot of room to do that, and the horn/compressor/tank setup is a bit out of my price range.
Someone suggested an alternative would be to purchase a set of those 4-tone horns used on old Cadillacs up 'til the early 90's. I found a set on ebay and they should be arriving in the mail soon.
Originally, I was just going to have the caddy horns replace the stock one, but now I kind of want to try being creative with the assembly. I want to rig the caddy horns on their own separate relay, and then for the horn solenoid I want to have it set up on a lanyard pull like the big rigs have it.
(Sorry if that doesn't make too much sense. I'm still trying to learn my way around the forum lingo.)
I guess my question is this: How difficult is it to rig another set of horns on their own relay? Do you guys have any wiring suggestions?
