macdiesel You went too far with the griswald reference dude. Not cool. Lol. The recent caddy wagon is the only badass wagon I can think of

RonMaiden Look at the history of wagons available in America and there are plenty more bad examples than good ones and only a handful of companies have been able to still sell wagons and in some cases more than one model (Subaru,Audi) but then somebody took true SUVs and watered them down into glorified station wagons but don't dare call them that. lol

When America thinks wagon......

Not a minivan.

jcw122 As aaaaplay said, it's market dependent. I think to the average American the term "station wagon" is an ugly phrase that reminds them of those wooden-exterior older station wagon vehicles. Even in Europe they use the term "estate" car as a replacement word to sound upscale.

Also, wagon/estate cars in Europe are far more prominent because of taxation reasons. SUVs and the like are taxed heavily, therefore estate cars become much more attractive to own. So it's not only consumer preferences but cost-based/regulatory as well.

aaaaplay Where manufacturers sell body styles is always dependent on market. Take for example in the US you don't get Chevrolet Cruze hatches or Honda Civic hatch simply because sedans and suv/crossovers sell better. In New Zealand there wagon mad so they get wagon variants of most things, e.g Toyota Corolla wagon (one of the few places outside Japan), they sell the Toyota Avensis Wagon alongside the Camry sedan and have always had a Focus wagon. While in Australia where I am big wagon are favoured. e.g Holden Sportwagon's (New Chevrolet SS in wagon form) and Ford Falcon wagons. However smaller wagons are becoming more popular like the Volkswagen Golf wagon and other small european wagons, So maybe one day we'll get the wagon. But I see it as being highly unlikely you'll ever see more wagon variants in the US before you see more hatch variants because that to me seems to be the trend there smaller hatches.

I think SUV's and crossovers are kinda ugly and not cool looking at all with a few exceptions (Ford Escape best looking crossover IMO and ONLY one I would personally buy). Don't see how some SUV owners make fun of wagons' styling. SUV's are as sexy as a minivan IMO. I'd take a wagon over one anyday. I had a wagon and I got the most positive comments of any vehicle I've owned so far. Course my wagon looked like this:

2014 Focus ST

Any guess when this is going to start rolling out or ready for ordering from the factory?

swansong Even if this thread is about the 2013s that we have now, do we know anything about the 2014s yet? I imagine there will be few to no changes.

However, I'd LOVE to see HID's and heated seats become a la carte options. I love both features, but prefer the two-tone partial leather seats to the full leather Recaros. Should be in the market for a 2014 or 2015 model if all goes according to plan.

And if we somehow, magically, get the ST wagon, my head will usplode.

Lots of errors in that original post. The previous generation ST was from 2005-2011, not 2014, lol. Come on people do some fact checking.

Has anyone actually read the original post (which by the way is clearly referring to the 2013 ST)?
