If you don't choose the focus, just change your avatar before you leave.

TheGlassMaker I prefer a 10ish year old car. Still new enough to look modern but cheap enough to buy on a budget and still get a very nice car. Plus most don't have all the pesky electronic stuff like todays cars have.

Isn't the age of all cars on the road right now something like 11 years?

Yeah 10.8 years is the median age in 2011.

I just gave my son my 2001 Ford Taurus for his first car. Think I am letting a new driver drive my Lexus?. I would be very peed if he destroyed that mint 60k mileage car. Hey, it is what it is. You can only sit next to them for so long before they need to stretch their wings.

I don't think that's an unreasonable request... my parents are currently driving their 2002 Ford Escape and 2003 Focus and they're hoping that they both make it at least another 2-3 years (170k and 190k miles, respectively)

And with all of the repairs I'm learning while fixing them, I'll be able to keep them on life support forever. It's really just knowing the point at which it gets cheaper to replace it with another car.

Marine Hey I thought the 2013 Taurus was a mid sized or is it a full size? And good luck with your car. I like the Fusion.
