|lowflyn||I dipped my wife's dd mustang in December. The entire car. Holds up well. I also did the front of my focus in September. Nearly 20k miles and zero issues. I'll be doing my entire focus here soon and plan to leave it long term.|

(Not that it's that long) but I've had my wheels dipped for almost 4 months now. They don't look any different than day 1 other than being a bit dirty. People who are addicted to curb rash may not have a great time, but so far I haven't had any issues with them.
I also did my front grille and lower grille, which were poorly sprayed during the winter to begin with. I've suffered some chips from road debris but it isn't noticeable from outside of 5ft for anyone but myself.
Plastidip does make me avoid automatic car washes though. I may take some pictures later but the car is pretty dirty at the moment.

really hard to photograph it in such a way that the shapes show up, but in person I LOVE this insert sprayed in the black dip....

PlastiDip Long Term
Anyone have any pics of rims (or anything else) that have been PlastiDipped long term? How does it look? How often do you need to re-coat them? Etc....

It looked so clean too. Looking at the matching front grille, was that was a ZX4 ST?

My focus unfortunately is dead. My wife was driving a girl home from church and a lady decided to text and drive her Land Rover right into it. I really miss my Focus.
But in case you want to see my plastidip:
I also did the part of the tail gate. I was going for the mustang look. I wasn't 100% sold on the final product, but here is how it looked:

I'm going to be doing more research before I continue out with my plan. Mainly trying to figure out which nozzle to use because I notice on some cans, the stock nozzle spits while others tend to spray evenly.
You should take a picture, I bet it looks amazing. MK 1.5's look so neat with the lower grille painted.
