|Planner||I have been very impressed with the Sumitomo HTR AS/PO1 tires on my Subaru, very quiet and competent tires. Looking at these for my boy's Focus when we add 17" wheels.|

However, I would not use them on my Focus . They are definitely not performance-oriented. In hard cornering you can feel the soft sidewall kind of rolling over, even in the 225/55r18 size on my Taurus.

|biking4life||I would recommend Hankook Optimo H727's. Very highly rated by Consumer Reports and we've been very happy with quietness, comfort, snow traction, and treadwear on our old Altima Hybrid and current Subaru Outback H6! And they're inexpensive to boot- don't get scared away because it looks similar to the ContiProContact!|

I just took off my General AS03, I always thought they were too loud.
I put on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports and all I can say is wow. Just drove to the Ford Nationals and Back on them, about 1,000 miles in 2 days. They are hands down the Quietest tire I have ever owned. I wish I would have found these sooner. And ride quality was the best I have ever felt. The whole time I was driving I kept thinking about how quiet and smooth they were and my wife who could care less about cars even noticed a huge difference.
I honestly will never buy a different set of tires. These will go on every car I own.
By the way I never bough them before because they were so expensive but you really get what you pay for with them. Worth every penny.
There is a reason they put this tire on some of the most expensive performance cars in the world.

|bose301s||The Michelin is way too expensive, anything else more around the Altimax HP price? Or are the Michelin Primacys really that much better of a tire?|
