mikebontoft well that makes it easy for me. I don't have to worry about front axles but I've been wanting to do a 5 lug front conversion.

Blue5ive So with custom axles needed using Mazda outer and ford inner are these hybrid axles only able to be made for the 5speed cars or can they also be made for an automatic trans?


Parts lists would be great idea. Some pics wouldn't hurt either :)

Paladin lapp how did to modify the front lower control arms for this to work? looking at a minor suspension over haul soon. and planning to go to mazda rear arms and such just to widen the rear track by an inch.

SVT calipers will bolt onto the Mazda3 knuckles.

Paladin this sounds more and more appealing. but i have an svtf. i fear axles will be a nightmare to pull this off. if a full parts list could be generated i'd really love to go five lug on the svt and run some rx8 wheels.

focusmaniaczx3 ive got a shop about 45 minutes away that makes custom axles. they are mocking up billet axles for me now and should have a price for me within a week or two. they take on custom jobs if they have time and you ask nice but they aint cheap. i expect to NEVER break one of these axles but i do expect to break lots of those puny tranny mount brackets... cheaper and easier to replace it rather than an axle though.

they are called the driveshaft shop. google it for their website. you will have to call to ask about custom jobs i think.

TheGlassMaker Guy on on the other forums. Did a 5 lug conversion on his 2nd gen. He had the hubs filled snd redrilled for 5x100.
