JasDmw Interesting; makes me feel better, too. I drive about 35KM one way to work, in stop and go. Noticed a significant differnece when the 18" summers went on, but the car is telling me I am averaging 8.5 L/100 KM right now. That appears to be about the same as the poster (city), with his manual and smaller wheels. I have the DCT as well, so maybe there is merit to the claim of better fuel economy with this transmission, which in my case is working fine.

Bogey Very cool, Thanks gsrxboy! so... I need to take the back way to work to avoid 80kmh crowchild trail until my vehicle warms, its only like a 4 km drive to work :-]

Canadian Vehicle Study official report on fuel consumption

I was lucky to receive a logger for my trips from home to work and vice versa by the government of Canada. They wanted participants to install the data logger via the OBD II port. I drove like I always do for three weeks and sent the logger back to them for a report. Here are the findings, I removed some of the information that is not relevant, but hopefully everyone can see that the Focus has awesome fuel consumption.

2012 Focus Titanium Manual, no nav, no performance package. No mods on car either, 17" painted rims.

87 octane gas
43km one way to work, moderate to heavy traffic

Note: I am travelling and I won't be able to respond immediately to any posts.
